New Studio Details!
Update: I'm now accepting appointments at the studio! If you'd like to shop some of my jewelry in person, please contact me to schedule a time to drop by!
For the past three years, I've been running my business out of my tiny DC apartment. What started as a small jeweler's bench in my bedroom quickly grew to an operation that took over my entire living space. Growth is fun, but living and working in the same small space is not, which is why i'm so excited to announce that I moved into a new studio space this past weekend!
As of April 1, I am now running Mallory Shelter Jewelry out of the Brewmaster Studios, located in Dupont Circle. I'm sharing the space with a few other amazingly talented artists, including Carolyn of MATINE and Meredith of Seaheart City Press.
Here are a few pictures of the space. Stay tuned for lots of updates as I get settled!
The Heurich House - The mansion was built from 1892-4 by German immigrant, local brewer, and philanthropist Christian Heurich. Recognized as Washington, D.C.’s most successful brewer, he ran the Chr. Heurich Brewing Co. until his death at 102. The mansion is notable for its technological innovations, original interiors, and rich archival collection of one of the most important local families. My studio is located in the carriage house of this building.
The carriage house of the building. The second floor is occupied by all local artists!
The studio space...it needs a fresh coat of paint and some sprucing up, but i'm excited to move in and make it home!

Your story is so inspiring! I live in Texas but found your website in southern living. I want to start a bag line and am working on prototypes. Have you looked in to manufacturers? There is so much info out there it is intimidating so I’m trying to learn. Also how did u get started making jewelry? I have always wanted to learn but don’t know where to start? Your earrings are beautiful! Hope to hear from you and wish you great success!
