Why is jewelry important/meaningful to you?
Jewelry is meaningful to me because it's a way for me to express myself. I could wear the same, plain shift dress every day for a week, but wear different jewelry each time and have a totally different look that reflects the mood I'm in. Jewelry is truly transformative.
What is your favorite piece of jewelry?
My favorite piece of jewelry is a lapiz and silver ring that I bought in southern India. The blue lapiz is from Afganistan, and the silver is from Kashmir. The man I bought it from was lovely, and told me about his father who makes the jewelry they sell in their little shop. I probably went in every jewelry shop in India (I clearly have a problem), but everything in this entire shop was unique and clearly one-of-a-kind. To know the long journey this little ring took to find it's way to me, and all the loving hands that touched it, makes it extra special.
What’s the first piece of jewelry you ever received?
I'm a Mexican American soooo... I got my ears pierced with diamond studs when I was an infant!
What’s one piece of jewelry you never take off?
I actually never leave jewelry on at night! I don't like sleeping in it, and I change my look every day, so nothing is sacred. Hahaha!
What’s one piece from my collection you would love to wear?
Dat Kyanite Cuff tho...
Kerra is pictured wearing our goldfill infinity ring, mini half moon hoops, and a custom malachite ring, as well as pieces from her personal collection.
